November 5-The host Denver Nuggets defeated the Chicago Bulls 123-101 on Saturday night behind a season-high 27 points from Michael Porter Jr. and 28 points, 16 rebounds, and nine assists from Nikola Jokic.

For Denver, which was without point guard Jamal Murray for the majority of the game, Reggie Jackson scored 16 points off the bench, Aaron Gordon finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while reserve Christian Braun and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope each added 10 points.

Due to a hamstring ailment, Murray only played for 10 minutes. Despite this, he finished with two points and two rebounds.

Chicago’s leading scorers were Nikola Vucevic with 19, DeMar DeRozan with 17, Jevon Carter with 16 points off the bench, Zach LaVine with 12, and Coby White with 11.

The Bulls, who had triumphed in Denver previously, led 53–51 at the break. Midway through the second quarter, they put themselves up with nine straight points, but the Nuggets responded strongly in the third.

Within the first seventy seconds, Caldwell-Pope sank a three-pointer, Gordon made two free throws, and Porter executed a three-point play.

After DeRozan’s mid-range shot to break the run, Denver scored the next 10 points to take a 14-point lead. With 4:31 remaining, Jokic converted two layups and a three-point play to give the Nuggets a 79-61 lead, despite a banked shot by Vucevic.

After Chicago closed the gap to 86-74 going into the fourth quarter, Andre Drummond’s tip-in to start the last frame made the score ten points. After making back-to-back 3-pointers, Porter and Jackson gave Denver a 92-76 advantage.

With eight minutes left, Carter’s fourth 3-pointer of the game and a three-point play by Torrey Craig brought the Bulls within 101-90.

Following two consecutive baskets by Jokic, back-to-back 3-pointers by Gordon and Porter, as well as a basket by Porter to make it 114-94, the Nuggets sealed the victory.
